About

Christina Gomez, MD, was born in Miami, Florida, to Cuban parents. She knew from the age of 5 that she wanted to be a physician.

Christy studied medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and served as Assistant Professor at Yale University School of Medicine, Smilow Cancer Center. She is a gastrointestinal medical oncologist at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Inspired by Kitchen Table Wisdom, written by Rachel Naomi Remen, MD, Christy invites each patient to treat their visit like they are sitting at the kitchen table. A unique ability to listen and to really hear has emerged from this patient-physician partnership. Christy shares the fruits of what she has heard in her first book, Stopped in My Tracks.

Christy lives in Phoenix, Arizona, with her young son, Danny.
